SUMMER EXPLORERS - This program bridges the gap between school and camp. Held June 21st - June 25th and again August 16th - August 27th , 7:00 am - 6:00 pm. at the High School. Breakfast is offered until 8:15 am. Children can enjoy some on-site activities and then board the bus to the destination of the day. Send a bagged lunch. (June 21st is the first day providing grade school ends on June 18th).
DAY CAMP - Is a 6-week program held at Veterans Park from Tuesday, July 6th - Friday, August 13th , 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. There are nine camps organized by grade from K-9. Children participate in crafts, sports, swimming, trips and more. Lunch is included, except on trip days.
AM & PM CAMP CARE - An extension of the camp day for families that need to add extra hours to their child’s camp day.
HALF DAY CAMP - This 4-week program offers children an afternoon of activities. It meets at the High School in the cafeteria, Tuesday, July 6th - Friday, July 30th, 12:00 pm - 3:30 pm. Children attending Enrichment and Camp, must check in at the cafeteria at 8:45 am and again at 12:00 pm. They eat lunch at the High School, then walk to Veterans Park (weather permitting). Lunch is included.
VOYAGERS - This camp is dedicated to traveling to cool places to have some fun. Tuesday, July 6th - Friday, August 13th , 8:30 am - 3:30 pm (some trips return later). Created for students finishing 8th and 9th grade. Send a lunch/spending money.
SUMMER STAFF- Applications are being accepted for summer staff. Various positions are available. Must be 16 by June 1, 2010. Application deadline is March 31st. Click here for application
COUNSELOR IN SERVICE (CIS) - This community service program provides teens the opportunity to gain valuable experience as a volunteer member of the summer staff. Applicants must be 15 years old by the July 1, 2010. Application deadline is March 31st. Space is limited. Mandatory training involved and a $125.00 fee applies. Click here for application

Open to Children grades K-5. Program will run Mon-Friday from 7/6 - 8/13. Enjoy sport activities, arts and crafts, games and more. Participants must be registered in advance. A DPRCS Drop in Camp ID Card is required.
Due to the popularity of this program space is limited.
Registration by mail only from 4/1-6/15. Must include a wallet sized photo of child with registration.

The Park will not be staffed on swimming days or in the event of rain or excessive heat.

PROJECT LEAL
Before and After School Program
The Basics
What: Project LEAL is a before and after school recreational childcare program providing a safe, supervised extension of the school day.
Why: Recognizing the trends in our society for two parent employment and single parent families, Project LEAL provides a supervised and worthwhile
alternative to being home alone.
Where: The program is offered at all four Elementary Schools and Linwood Middle School in the cafeteria.
When: The program is held during the school year from the first day of school in September until the last day of school in June. AM LEAL is from 7:00 am until the start of school day. PM LEAL is from the end of school day until 6:00 pm.
Who: Children in grades Kindergarten - 8th grade are eligible to participate in the Project LEAL program. Registration is limited.
