9. Ordinance / First Reading / Introduction:
#06-33 – An Ordinance amending and supplementing Chapter 281 of the Code of the Township of North
Brunswick entitled “Shopping Carts”, Section 281-5 “Impoundment of abandon carts” and Section 281-7
“Violations and Penalties” to provide for the enforcement of this Chapter by the Department of Public Works,
the Police Department and the Department of Community Development and to increase the fines for
Violations to the maximum permitted by New Jersey State Statute.
#06-34 – An Ordinance of the Township of North Brunswick, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey,
Amending Chapter 205, the Land Use Ordinance of the Township of North Brunswick and
Regulating personal wireless telecommunications facilities and equipment.

#06-35 – An Ordinance of the Township Council of North Brunswick amending and fixing the salary
and wages for various officials and employees of the Township of North Brunswick and providing for the
manner of payment thereof.
#06-36 – An Ordinance amending and supplementing Chapter 238 “Peace and Good Order” of the Code of the
Township of North Brunswick by creating and establishing a new Section IV entitled “Graffiti” to prohibit the
Defacement of public and private property within the Township of North Brunswick.
#06-37 – An Ordinance amending and supplementing Chapter 254 of the Code of the Township of
North Brunswick entitled “records, Public”, Article II “Fees for Copies”, Section 254-3 “Certified copies of
Vital Statistics” to increase fees therefore.
#06-38 – An Ordinance rescinding and repealing Chapter 188 of the Code of the Township of North Brunswick
Entitled “”Hawking and Peddling” in its entirety and creating and establishing a new Chapter 188 of the
Code of the Township of North Brunswick entitled “Hawking and Peddling” to provide for background
checks for licensing and the establishment of “Do Not Drop” and “Do Not Knock Registries” to regulate the distribution of unsolicited materials in the Township of North Brunswick.
#06-39 - An Ordinance amending and supplementing Chapter 143 of the Code of the Township of North
Brunswick entitled “Canvassing and Soliciting “, Article I, “Permits, Regulations” by adding a new
Section 143-8.2 “Do Not Drop Registry; Do Not Knock Registry; Distribution of Unsolicited or
Non-Subscribed Materials” to regulate the distribution of unsolicited publications in the Township
of North Brunswick and to regulate unsolicited commercial solicitation, peddling or hawking
10. Ordinance / Second Reading / Public Hearing:
#06-30 - An Ordinance rescinding and repealing Chapter 197 “Housing Standards” of the Code of the
Township of North Brunswick and creating and establishing a new Chapter 197 “Housing
Standards and Occupancy Limits” to address housing standards, occupancy limits and
enforcement.
#06-31 - An Ordinance amending and supplementing Chapter 266 “Rental Housing” of the Code of the Township of North Brunswick to provide square footage and occupancy standards, amend the enforcement authority, provide for adequate notice in cases of eviction due to occupancy violations and to revise the
violations and penalties provisions.
#06-32 - An Ordinance amending and supplementing Chapter 205 “Land Use,” Article V “General Regulations
for residential districts,” Section 205-43.1 “Parking and Storage of commercially registered vehicles”
and adding a new Subsection 205-43.2 “Construction of driveways and parking spaces” and amending
and supplementing Chapter 205 “Land Use,” Article IX “R-4 Residential District” Sections 205-53
“Permitted Uses” and 205-54 “Development Standards” and Chapter 205 “Land Use, Schedule of Area,
Yard and Building Requirements, Table 1” of the Code of the Township of North Brunswick to reduce
the maximum lot coverage requirements in the R-4 and R-4A Zones.
