Planning Board

The Planning Board is responsible for the Township's Master Plan and controls the development and use of land within the Township in accordance with the Master Plan. This includes the selection of land for recreation, open space, residence and business development. The board determines the use of our unimproved land for now and in the future.

Anyone seeking to build a permitted use within the Township must present their plans for approval to the Planning Board to ensure the proposal is consistent with the Master Plan zone designations. Applications for non-permitted uses (variances) go to the Zoning Board of Adjustment for approval.

Board Members are appointed by the Mayor and serve staggered four year terms. Alternates are appointed annually.

Planning Board meetings are normally held the 1st Wednesday of the month for workshop meetings and the 2nd Tuesday for Public meetings 7:30 PM at Municpal Building.
