SUBJECT:   2007 ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
                        TOWNSHIP OF NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ

As you are aware, the Township of North Brunswick is continually making improvements to the road systems to better serve the Residents of the Township.

We are pleased to advise the Residents of Remsen Avenue that, as part of this program, the work on their street will soon commence. Stilo Excavating Inc. of South Plainfield, NJ has been retained by the Township of North Brunswick to construct the project, and, weather permitting, they anticipate starting this work on or about the week of August 13, 2007. Construction will generally be done between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.     

The work involved with this particular road upgrade will include work from the Township boundary to Woodland Avenue with complete roadway reconstruction at the intersections, and the milling and paving of the roadway surface between the reconstructed intersections. There will also be minor storm drainage improvements.  The initial work will include the storm drainage improvements.

 In order that the work proceed quickly it is important that cars be kept off the street in the work area during working hours so they do not interfere with construction activities, and we would appreciate your cooperation with this. Also, note that the Contractor may be storing construction equipment and materials along portions of the street. Please refrain from blocking these areas with vehicles and please keep children from playing in these areas.

Access to the street and your driveway will be limited at times due to the ongoing work. During the actual paving work, access will not be available for that day – we will provide a detailed Notice before that work. We appreciate your cooperation with parking your vehicles at a location away from the work zone to avoid any interference.  If this presents a particular problem, please advise us immediately

The Township of North Brunswick and Stilo Excavating will perform the work to try and minimize the inconvenience during construction. CME Associates, representing North Brunswick Township, and Stilo Excavating will have representatives in the area while the work takes place.
